How benificial is it to know Latin in the medical field?

I'm planning on being a doctor, and I want to know how beneficial taking Latin in high school will actually be. I asked a similar question earlier, but is it better to be bilingual, or to be fluently familiar with medical terminology? Would knowing Latin actually make medical school easier? If so, how so and to what degree?
