If unhealthy, and very new to spirituality in general.... energy body and all...?

I think emotionally needy people tend to leech our energy, though they are unaware of this and they never mean to. That is why if we have been in the presence of someone who is upset or disturbed, we begin to feel tired and drained. There are lots of ways to protect yourself but the simplest is probably to sit very still, breathe deeply a few times and imagine you are surrounded by a bright blue light. Breathe it in and breath out your tension. Keep the light around you for as long as you can and tell yourself that no negativity can enter into you. Do this each morning or whenever you are in a stressful situation. If you feel that you are taking energy from someone else, consciously pull yourself back and try to stay within your own energy field. This is very basic and there are lots of books and people out there who can probably help you more. Hope I helped a bit. Good luck.
