Do you believe heaven is nonexistence and hell is existence?

Think about it. All life exist only because there is this strong selfish desire for survival. Because of our selfish desire motives, we are trapped in existence. We never find rest as we go from one life to the next. I hear Christians and Muslims say that they hope to get into heaven. That tells me that they still want to selfishly hold on to the will to survive and preserve themselves in heaven. What if to get into heaven, one must abadon all selfishness, including the will to preserve the self? Then once reached, heaven is the blissfull realm were the worries about preserving the self and survival have dissapeared. Why do you think the bible says that God will give his followers rest? Rest from what? From having to struggle again? Anyways, I practice Buddhism and this is kinda along the same lines we believe in.
