Lacrosse Question. Gait Torque Pro?

I have a Gaitt Torque Pro Lacrosse head. Im thinking about dying it using Rit dye and boiling water. Will this cause any problems with my head? Will my head become fragile and prone to break after the dye job? And how long and how resistant to fading is Rit dye on polymers?
