My Suzuki GS500EW won't turnover?

I just got a 98 GS500EW my first bike, and I can't get it to turn over, i really don't know anything about the repairs but I have tried charging the battery which is as far as my know how goes, anyways, the bike was dropped once before i got it then about a week ago the wind blew it over in the parking lot, it hasn't been started since the last time it was dropped, any help would be fantastic
