Looking for a young, hip, affordable city to move to in Chicago?

1000 dollars isn't going to find you a cardboard box in the areas your talking about lol The city if very expensive and you will have to double your budget. Sorry, im just letting you know before you spend to much time in area's that you can't afford. Lincoln square you couldn't afford anything in the range of 1000, besides you would hear airplaines all day and all night. We lived in the suburbs of Chicago (Crystal Lake) and paid rent for a 2 bedroom 1,275.00
